Vaughan’s Cookery School offers a comprehensive range of public, professional, bespoke, corporate and children’s courses. Participants experience ‘hands-on’, inspirational and fun classes, producing healthy and nutritious meals. Vaughan’s Cookery School feels passionate about creating a ‘naturally balanced’ style of cuisine that maximises nutrition as well as using seasonal, local produce where possible.

Vaughan’s Cookery School classes cover a variety of different topics and, as groups are small and all tutors are well qualified and experienced, those who are less confident in the kitchen can be supported, whilst those who are already competent cooks can be stretched. Popular choices to improve skills in the kitchen are: Speedy Meals: Fish & Seafood Special; Basic Bread; Knife Skills plus a range of classes that focus on specific styles of cuisine: Moroccan, Indian, Thai, Mexican, French, Spanish, Italian and many more.  Vaughan’s also runs monthly cooking classes for the youngsters: Mini Chefs (ages 6-10) in the mornings and Young Chefs (ages 11-16) in the afternoons. 

Vaughan’s also run a 3 week (or 12 week part-time) Professional Kitchen Essentials, Level 2 in Culinary Skills course. It is popular with those looking to turbo boost their kitchen confidence or to start or further a career in the catering and hospitality industry. Vaughan’s is an approved teaching centre for the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality (CTH) and a member of the Independent Cookery Schools Association.

The Vaughan’s teaching team is led by Peter Vaughan, a highly experienced and award-winning chef with over 30 years working in the catering industry. Peter is a member of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts and has been a popular guest tutor at Leith’s School of Food and Wine in London for many years.
