Sheephouse Manor is an ideal base visiting all attractions along the Great West Way, Our five cottages offer comfort and relaxation with everything you need. We are situated in rural Berkshire countryside, close to the scenic river Thames, yet 2 miles from Maidenhed town and station. Everything along the Great West Way is within 90 minutes by car or train.
The 16 C Sheephouse Manor was originally a dairy farm, and now the five converted barns set in 2 acres of pretty gardens are available to book for a week or more for 2 to 6 persons. We are per friendly, and have a dedicated dog run, and children’s play paddock amongst the chickens.
Easy access from M4, M40 and M25.
Maidenhead town centre is 5 minutes by car.
Central London is 30 minutes by train
From London/North/South/West (M25 & M4)
M4, exit J7. Take A4 towards Maidenhead. Over Maidenhead Bridge and turn right at mini roundabout. Follow A4094 for 1.5 miles, passing Boulters Lock, then turn left into Sheephouse Road. Sheephouse Manor is about 0.5 mile down on the right.
From M40
M40, exit J4. Take A404 and exit at Bourne End. Follow A4155 and A4094 towards Maidenhead. Over Cookham Bridge, following A4094 for 3/4 mile, turn right into Sheephouse Road. Sheephouse Manor is about 0.5 mile down on the right.
We are a 5 minute taxi ride from Maidenhead train station, or a 2 mile walk.
We are a 30 minute direct train to central London Paddington.
From Heathrow central bus station, take bus 75 to Maidenhead bridge. We are 1 mile form this bus stop.
The local bus number 8 goes from outside us to Maidenhead Town Centre. Monday to Saturday, 6.48am to 6.00pm
