Staying at Salisbury Club Site places you within easy reach of some of the most famous sites in England. The historic centre of Salisbury, known as ‘the city in the countryside’, is an easy 2 mile walk from the campsite and offers many must-see attractions including the famous cathedral - home to the 1215 Magna Carta manuscripts. The cathedral has Britain’s tallest spire, the largest close and cloisters, and a 14th century clock - the oldest working mechanical clock in the world!

Whilst in Salisbury, make time to explore its bustling centre and timbered buildings, and pick up some fresh local produce in the market ready for your evening barbecue.

9 miles from Salisbury is the famous Stonehenge - a must-see on any visit to Wiltshire. One of the world’s most famous prehistoric monuments, this vast ring of ancient standing stones was built around 2500 BC and forms a unique World Heritage Site. Explore the ancient landscape on foot and visit the exhibition and visitor centre, where you can step inside reconstructed Neolithic Houses and experience the everyday lives of our ancestors.

Other local attractions close to Salisbury include the ancient site of Avebury, Old Wardour Castle, and Longleat Safari Park - a great experience for families. After a full day of exploration and fun, relax back at Salisbury Club Site and make use of the site’s modern showers and spacious pitches, complete with lovely views over Old Sarum - an ancient settlement and hill fort.
